Sean Kaye is an artist, curator and art educator. Prior to coming to Moscow, he worked for many years as Programme Leader for Foundation Art & Design at Leeds College of Art. He has also been a visiting lecturer at a range of art schools and universities including the Royal College of Art, the University of Edinburgh, Glasgow School of Art, University of Leeds, Central St Martins College of Art & Design and Manchester School of Art.
He is currently co-curating the exhibition cycle Fully Awake for the organisation Teaching Painting. He is also co-director of the exhibitions programme blip blip blip. Between 2011 and 2019 blip blip blip was based in Leeds. In 2020 blip blip blip was re-established at Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art in Moscow.
In 2021 he helped establish the International Network of Foundation Educators (INFE) of which he is a member of the current steering group. Sean is a member of the collaborative art practices: Leeds United and Sean Kaye and Jenny West and has exhibited at venues including Camden Arts Centre, Tate Liverpool and ICA.
